Why isn’t my website showing on Google?

If you cannot find your own URL, that is an indexing problem. If you find it only when you search the exact address, that is a ranking problem. They are not the same.

Two different failures get called “we are not on Google.” One: Google has not stored your pages. Two: Google stored them, but they lose to other results. Fix the first before you buy ads or a “SEO package” with no diagnosis.

Check the simple things first

  1. Search site:yourdomain.com. Zero results usually means not indexed, or the domain Google sees is not the one you type.
  2. Open the URL you share. If it redirects to another host, Google may be indexing the old one. POWER SHIFT had this class of problem when a preview host stayed live beside the real domain — the public site and the search listing must be the same URL.
  3. Confirm https and the www versus non-www version. Two live copies split attention.

Technical blocks

A robots.txt that disallows the whole site, a noindex tag left from staging, or a language redirect that sends crawlers to the wrong page will hide you. JavaScript-only pages with no HTML text are harder to trust. The blog and services on this site are real HTML for that reason.

Search Console is not optional if you care. It shows whether Google can fetch the homepage, and whether you submitted a sitemap that lists the URLs you actually want. Asking for a ranking report before the homepage is indexed wastes everyone’s time.

Thin or duplicate pages

A new site with one paragraph copied from a template gives Google nothing to rank. Two language versions that claim the same English canonical are worse: you taught Google to ignore the Arabic URL. Hreflang has to point at real alternate URLs, not at a JS toggle.

Speed is not the first reason a brand-new URL is missing — but once you are in the index, a painful mobile load still loses the click. Speed is a business issue after you exist in search.

Ranking is slower than indexing

Being indexed for your brand name can happen relatively quickly. Ranking for “website company Cairo” against established results does not. That takes pages that match the query, links from your own site, and time. There is no honest overnight switch.

What to do this week

  • Pick one canonical host and redirect the rest.
  • Open Search Console, inspect the homepage, submit the sitemap.
  • Write one useful page per service you actually sell — see what the site needs.

If the site was built as a visual mock and never set up for search, the fix is often the build — website work — not a plugin. We do not sell ranking guarantees. We do build pages search engines can read.
